This 20:1 scale model of the actuator (Fig. 10) shows how the Muscle Wire (black) is fed through a gap, around a contact finger, (gold) and then back through another gap. First slide the contact onto the end of the "T" bar, (silver) then feed the Muscle Wire as shown above. Hold the contact in place and then pull the end of the Muscle Wire to close the loop. Bend the Muscle Wire at a right angle parallel with the long arm of the "T". Position the contact near to the end of the "T" bar and solder it in place. Trim the free end so that it does not interfere with the loco steps. Do not expect the solder to actually stick to the Muscle Wire as it is not solderable. This is strictly a friction attachment.
